Hello there, my name's Meghan and I'm a visual artist from Auckland, New Zealand. I use acrylics in my paintings, as well as natural materials like wood, plants, flowers and crystals.
Through my art, I explore the idea of transcending limits, boxes, and borders, to experience broader perspective, expansion and wholeness. Exploring harmony in dichotomy – light and dark, man-made and the natural world, sacred masculine and sacred feminine, physical and metaphysical, ancient and modern, material and spirit. The purpose of my practice is to facilitate a philosophy that goes beyond perceived definitions, limitations and divisions, to see a broader connection in us all.
Through my art, I wish to better understand connection to one's self, between humans, the planet and the Universe. I'm inspired by the idea that all life is interconnected and interdependent. Celebrating all the ways we've blended; all the ways we're connected than divided; all the ways we become more when we go beyond our perceived edge.
If you resonate with my imagery, I would love to collaborate with you.
Talk to me for any commissions or collaborations. I'm interested in sustainability, conscious food production, the environment, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, mantra, personal development, holistic health, creativity, ancient wisdom and practices, mystics and misfits, whimsey and play, nature and multiculture.
