This month, I was one of the artists who created site-specific installations for the beautiful conscious event Ea Festival (pron. 'eh-ya'). For this event, I created an interactive installation honouring the land that our venue The Cloud was sitting on.

The Waihorotiu Mandala acknowledged Queens Wharf's history of being once part of the ancient stream, Waihorotiu. As with the process of pouring earth onto water to create reclaimed land, as well as mirroring the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of sand mandalas, people were invited to pour sand onto the installation. This installation changed shape throughout the day.
